home-making a pick

i am a total begginer into lock picking. i have read the mit guide, and several other sites of tips into lock picking.
however, my main problem now are the tools.
after my first hard hard working week of learning, i've finally achieved to open a four pin door in home with an improvised pick out of a paper clip, but i feel i this tool is horrible and i need something better.
no, i dont have how to buy them on the internet (i am totally out of the USA, and there are not such sellers in my city), and i cant find them nowhere on any shops.

i would like to try doing my own, but it's not easy to learn how to. some sites explain how to build them, but none of them are exactly clear on what kind of material should i look like, what are the basic characteristics of a good pick?
how can i do a good lockpick? i have the tools & all,, i just need to know exactly what are the possible materials i could use for that, and which would be better..

I'm not saying post your address, but if you let the other members know what country you are in, someone may be able to help you find a solution, probably someone from the same country. I understand there may be reasons why you think you cannot buy on the net, but not all purchases are made via credit cards, there are alternative forms of payment. Try using the search button up top, you can also find a lot of very good information on how to make your own picks, if that is what you want to do!...

The material your looking for will be .020 to .048 of an inch in thickness, and will have the ability to bend and flex an inch or two at most without breaking.

Perennial favorites among those who make their own tools are street sweeper bristles (take a refreshing early morning walk as they roll by, the bristles fall off and can be picked up. on a good day, you can get materials for about a dozen picks). Another wonderful material comes from windshield wipers. There is a nice piece of metal that keeps the wiper stiff. Ask a service station for their old blades. They will probably give them to you for free..
