The Wanderer wrote:I thought Petersen only sold to people in the "trade". I've been itching to get a few tools from Petersen, but put it off because I'm not a "Lockie". This "Thief" chap, obviously isn't a locksmith, but SFGOON has suggested he check out their site and possibly get some picks from there. :? Wouldn't he have to lie in order to do that? Have some of our other members stretched the truth in order to get the things they need from Petersen-International?
I'd really like to get some of their picks, and an SFIC wrench too. I've got to quit being so honest all the time. Just one teeny little "white lie" could make it all happen. Oh well...I'll make do with the tools I have, I guess. The Southord tools I have are better than anything I could make. Sure would like that SFIC wrench though...... :(

You will find that many of the people on this site lie about their locksmith status to peterson international, just to get their tools - it seems to work too.

No, you can order from peterson-international.com just fine without any ID.

I went there, but i couldn't find nything about store locations. I need to buy a set on the ground, like in a real store. Not easy, dude.

Its not going to happen, unless you have access to a locksmith supplier.

Skold is pretty close to the truth on this one.
While there are some suppliers who could really care less, the majority of them just don't want to deal with the extra headache should something illegal be done with the tools.

"Spy" stores are about the only alternative to locksmith suppliers, and the prices can be extrodinary.

Many of the on-line stores also accept payment vie cheque or money order, and failing that you can use pay pal.

I believe that www.lockpicks.com has several payment methods available. They are a first class supplier, and I would easily recomend them.
