Is it just me or does anyone find the size of a sheet of mica to be a little to small. If it were another 1 inch wider it would be much more easier to handle .
Anyone know of an alternative supplier other than Souber ?

You should have no problems with the standard size - as supplied. There are handles you can buy to attach to the Mica, if you wish, and these are supposed to provide a better grip on the sheet. Personally, I use it straight out of the bag, and trim the ends when it starts to look tatty.

iv'e got the handles for the mica, you could make them easy yourself they are two half moon peices of plastic about the same diameter as a brush handle and they just bolt through the mica.
personally i would just carry on using it as standard
lock picking! i luv it

Forget the mica guy's, get a long strip of plastic that's used for business card's! approx 20 inch's long. it doesn't fold around your fingers when introduced to the jam!
As for the mica, get a broom handle and cut eight inch's off the top, saw lengh way's until half way, slide in edge of mica with a tad of glue! Makes a lovely handle.
If this is to much info, please remove!

I've seen/felt the plastic used for these cards, and I wouldn't have thought it flexible enough.

It would depend on the thickness, i've just measured my business card with the digital vernier, 0.75mm thick. very flexible, the more you bend it the better it gets! I got the strip from the same company that supplied the cards after i slipped a few door's with them! It certainly was good viewing for the customer, made me feel like James Bond!

When it's in place, springy, you only have about 50 to 60mm showing. just push it then catch when door swings, straight back into the pocket, Customer thinks your amazing!

This plastic work hardens then snaps or stays bent after a few uses, lockies use mica because its the proven best material to use.
On a properly fitted door its useless anyway.

I agree with you peaky, You cant beat mica, the card is just a good contender and saves you going back to the van!
As for splitting or cracking, i think i must have the most plyable cards i've ever come across! i've not split any yet although i've chewed a couple on screw edges etc, they do bend well! Bloody cheap to.
