Anybody with any skill is welcome, as Toomush says, were not the A-Team, although his van has a sliding side door!
If you've bought tools and your unsure of how to get them to work - bring them, You will never get them to work and they will gather dust.
There are some tricks on some tools, just practice and if someone has cracked a tool they will show you in minutes what might take months to master.
If I knew of this site, and was internet connected I would have joined ages ago!
These meets are safe and legal! so no concerns there. People who bluff in this trade soon get caught out!!!!
Looking forward to meeting a few more 'pickers'
Hopefully Pinky could escape to the country for the day! as I need help now!

Went out and bought Chris Belcher,s curtain pick today(sat). Just clicked open a 3u114! Ran up and down the house with my arms in the air! (you may have guessed this is the first one I,ve done). All I,ve got to do now is repeat........at night........in the rain.......with someone saying 'will you be long?' eerm.

well done , now dont sit back , change the lever combination and pick it again, then again and then again, keep picking it till you understand what the levers are doing and what your pick is doing and what you are feeling, only when you get to grips with what you are feeling for and what is going on in that mechanical beastie will you have cracked it.

many lock makes will react in a different way with a different feel, only when you understand this and know what you are feeling will you have this cracked, then you wont give the customer time to ask how long, as you will just do it.

its all about feel and understanding, nothing more and nothing less.

a big well done , but your journey has just begun, now you know it opens, now work out why and how, what you felt and what you want to feel, then bs lever locks will never phase you, again well done and keep banging them open

Ive had 2 days of not quite getting the legge pin and cam working when i had it sussed for days on end.,i can still sit here and open an s2 safe lock in seconds but not open a bag o crisps in days

Ive just read my two earlier posts and can quite honestly hand on heart tell you i have no bloody idea what i was on about.I can only asume i posted them last night on my return from a Thai meal. That Singah beer must be stronger than i thought, Cant imagine what crap i was spouting during the meal.My wife must really love me!

Yes the tools cost a lot of money, but they don't ever argue, want you to take them out for a meal, even buy them flowers, they just bring joy and a sense of achievement, unlike the fairer sex!!

Sid, such philosophy is welcome in a world of madness ... I can only assume that the fairer sex is a 110 compared to a common 114 ...

I suspect that the lockmeet will move to higher ground this time so those within a spit and a half of the South should get here for a day of informal picking and learning ..

if you can not recall, its the 19th Feb near Guildford...

locks, picks, beer and assorted nutters are included free of charge,

well picking a 110 is much like making love to a beautiful woman,
check your package for missing parts,
pop some grease on the tools tip
pop it in the hole,
and make sure your shaft's in working order,
and don't forget to round the end of the pins to stop them from wearing down your cam!!

Some 110's are easier than others ...

Mine is 35 years old but i still like to pick it ...

Can't help looking out for newer models though to play with ...

I think the next time I get hands on with a 110, my tool will have seized up totally :!:

Back on track, I will bring the pick, and lock and detainers. If I am not 100% by then I think it will be a free for all seeing if we can get to grips with the beast.
Think I will have to go back to picking 2 lever union locks, I remember the days....mmm pull up a sandbag...blah!!!!
