The one with the grey case is a union 2477 i think . Notice the claw bolt would be used on a sliding door and as the guys say all these an easy pick .

even though simple locks its refreshing to see unions across the pond, should set courses up over there.

thanks for photos, locks are easy to id when full photo, try to imagine just seeing the small area around the keyway, this is what we must id from, the 2477 is an easy id as its grey case raised lip around keyway and non curtain, instant id union 3 lever, if olive then yale with same lip.

Yes, and you'll be greeted by a lot of them with the same colour, a nice old weather beaten rain lashed rusty one!

Pinky, you mentioned a pipe 2-in-1 padlock pick. Where are these available, I've not come across one of these...?

Cheers Quickie. I know RB stuff isn't cheap, but at least you know you're getting quality tools.

Do you know who stocks these as I don't think I've seen them anywhere I've looked?

When you say 'pipe padlock 2-in-1 picks' do you mean the PA110-113 for the Chubb and Era Insurance padlocks? If so I thought you were talking of a different pick, I'm actually having these delivered today. Not cheap when you purchase the Insurance padlocks too to play with!

again cruisers etc regularly pop up on ebay.

you will find that these 2 picks will fit many of these padlocks .

Every item I go for on the cheap on eBay, someone else seems willing to pay over the odds for, so I end up giving up on it as I could get it for roughly the same price, trade, as I could on eBay plus p&p, which is also usually excessive. I've lost Cruisers and 3G135's, etc. this way...

Me and bargains don't seem to mix all that well, unlike some others on here.

I've just received the big 4 insurance padlocks and RB 2-in-1's. On first glance, the ERA Insurance is a doddle to open and close. The pipe bit in the pick for the ERA Big6 appears slighly too small for the padlock pin, and the gauge for the Chubb Battleship pick is slighly too big to enter the keyway... A little filing must be needed then. Did anyone else find this?

I've always found that RB Locktools picks are a dead fit. No alteration required.
