Yes, I would have thought, with RB, the fit would have been spot on, especially considering these tools are made for the specific padlocks.

The ERA Big6 pick wasn't the pick, my fault, it was the padlock. The pin wasn't dead centre so the side of the pick was rubbing along the side of the keyway.

The Chubb Battleship though, either the pick gauge is too big or the padlock keyway is too small as it simply won't go in! And I don't think I'll be ordering another padlock to see if it's that as, retailing at around £120+VAT, they're a little on the pricey side!

£120 excl VAT? You're being done mate, I've got the current SKS catalogue and they're just a gnat's wotsit under £75 excl VAT (and when you spend more than £50 with them, they pay the postage)

If anyone from SKS is monitoring this thread can I have an increase in my credit limit for the free advertising?

hi,
do you get enough calls to open these padlocks to justify the prices?

Jason, yes the Battleship is around £75 from SKS, which is where I got mine. The retail price quoted in the Aldridge catalgue is £119.10+VAT...
