Well then,
Master locks have NEVER given me problems in the past, even given my relatively noobish status. However, I recently came across four Master No. 7 locks (smaller than Master No. 3) and no matter what I do, I cannot seem to pick any of these four.
Anybody have any suggestions as to how best breach these padlocks? I have an agreement with the owner of the locks that if I pick them, they become part of my personal collection. I would like to have these! (Shims don't count).

Sorry I didn't put this all in one post!
A link to the Master No. 7 specs can be found here:

Seems to me that there is NO distinguishing factors between this padlock and Masters No. 1, 3, and 5 besides size. I'm thinking that maybe age and wear are my primary concern when picking these padlocks. No picks seem to provide an odd amount of resistance, so I don't believe they're sticking. Something, however, is up. I shouldn't be stumped on these locks. Please help!

Strange I learned to pick on this lock haha, I can do it in under 20 seconds now without raking.

Masters No. 1, 3, 5, and 532 as well as the covered brass Master lock all fall to my will.
I think there is something up with this particular lock. I've since experimented with different tension tools to accomodate the more narrow keyway. Maybe a set of Euro picks would help me maneuver better inside the lock, but I doubt that will help. Some lube is headed my way, but until I get it in the mail, I must try conventional methods.
Well, I'll let you know!

this may have the deep middle pins problem, making it hard to lift the pin furthest down the keyway. definatly lubericate it so you are not getting the binding that occurs from dry locks. then consider that the key might be cut very deep in several places. use you most low rise hook, the european method of feeling the core turn won't work on these as the cylinder is buried in laminations, but its just a master lock, you can pick it. Some are a bit harder if the bottom pins are long. Try to get a look at the key if its available. Last resort, you can impression a key, to impression a key for master lock, you will have to cut down the shoulder of the key so that it doen't touch the cover lamination and prevemt proper binding and bumping.

What kind of pick are you using for this lock? Using mini picks and a bit of lubricant will go a long way with theese guys. I think half-diamond works best on theese.

Ive used the following picks for about 30 mins each (kill me now):
Small Half Diamond, Snake Rake, 'L' Rake, 'S' Rake.
Can't seem to pop these, and I'm still waiting on my lube. Updates will come when they are warranted =(
Wish me luck!

when i started picking i bought some padlock shims the shims were garbage except on the master 4. when picking this lock a very small diamond pick and a sturdy small tension wrench works for me

Jenova, three of the four picks he mentioned are specifically designed for picking and lack any other real use concerning locks. The small half diamond can be used to actually pick, but given his choice of picks, he's probably using it to rake too. It's possible he's actually picking it, it just really doesn't seem like it.
As for security pins in a Master No. 7, it's a really cheap lock that isn't designed to be rekeyed.
