I was recently given a fortress padlock by a friend. He lost the key and asked me if I could make one. I agreed to help him. It managed to pick the lock quite easily however can't seem to remove the cylinder to be able to rekey it. I decided to simply rekey it because it would be faster and easier than impressioning. The problem presented itself when I looked inside the lock. Where there was normally a screw, there was a pin which stuck out. This pin stuck in the opposite direction of the cylinder.
I was wondering what the technique would be to remove the cylinder for rekeying. And, what that pin does. Any information would be appriciated.
