Aldridge sell them & it's simply a frame strengthener (hinge side), unless I have completely the wrong end of the stick. The london far is the lock side frame version, usually with a ' bump ' in it to go around the strike for a nightlatch.

They should do you a credit sale - check with sales on 0161 828 0828 (Manchester), or 020 7324 3434 (London). Around the £10 mark plus vat, less any trade discount you may get. If no joy with Aldridge, try ME Duffell on 020 8761 2121.

I've always called Birmingham bar the lock side and London the straight (hinge) side because I was told "B for Birmingham = bent." Although having looked through the Duffells catalog it looks like I'm wrong (like that'd be the only time!)

That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it
