Question on a safe

I wanted to know what manufacturers made this type of safe. It has a steel cable running around the inside of the door that is connected to the lever that releases the boltwork. Along this cable there are several small plates of toughened glass. Any explosion would shatter the glass, releasing the cable and jamming the lever in the closed position. Does anyone know what model of safe this is? It was made in the 1950's. My grandpa was talking about this and I wanted to know more about it. Thanks to however answers this question. Hopefully this does not get locked because I do not have access to the advanced forums yet.

I would also like to know where I could order or buy diamond-tipped drill bits. Thanks again, If noone answers this thread I will most likely try find the answer myself. I still havn't found the answer to my question on the top of this thread. My eyes are starting to get tired though because I have been reading forum after forum and using google searches after google searches to find everything about that type of safe. I found a couple of results but I still don't think my findings are good enough. I wanted to see if anyone on this site new anything about that safe. Thanks...

FYI: Those glass plates will also shatter and release with drilling.

shizniks i lost my link for diamond drill bits that were very nicely priced
u can buy those drill bits anywhere and get them for good prices on the internet. jus use google and type in diamond drill bits.

You could drill away from the cable and insert a Borescope into it to see more of it...

If you possibly can take some pictures of the safe and post 'em in here and we will help you identify it only. You won't find drill points anywhere on this site, but we'd be glad to help otherwise. Physical dimensions, lock and handle positions, hing positions, etc. all help in identifying as well as any markings.
