just started picking

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

just started picking. got afew picks (southord) opened afew padlocks but having real trouble with a tri-circle padlock . im i just a bit crap or are they hard to pick ? its only a small one (the padlock that is )

i'm guessing i'm not a noob anymore when i say search and read the faqs.

When you start out its hard, i'm still trying to get all the pins in my deadbolt.
I dont know anything about tri-circle padlocks but what google brought up it seems that they are euro? You probably already have slim picks but if not this might be a problem.

What really helps is getting a deadbolt, or any lock, you can dissasemble and practice with only a few pins in it.

got slim picks, was trying with diamond picks with no joy, but ive finally just opened it with a homemade hook.(could be just lucky) would post sum pics if i new how to !

Im proberly not gonna be the last to tell you this, but its true, practice, and you will get their.

But about the lock, I have never seen one so I cant help you their, sorry.
If it doesn't seem to make sence, take a minuite to look at who said it... do you still want to know?
