the second link looks like a warded lock, and I personally wouldn't bother with them because they generally offer very low security and are easy to pick (not that I have ever picked one because I've never actually seen one except in a hardware store).

the last link looks good if you're up for practicing combo padlock manipulation but if you want to get into propper manipulation, then get yourself one of the many S&G et.al. locks floating around e-bay.

the first lock is a 5 lever lock - looks good myself but perhaps a uk person would be better to answer that one.

Oh look! it's 2016!

OK so you want locks on the cheap? right get yourself down to your local upvc instsallers and find out what they do with all the old doors. You will find stacks of locks free at these places.

Look in the local free papers or the yellow pages. There's usually loads of adverts. Anglian is one of the big names, but there's loads of others.

You will often find showrooms on the local trading estate.

i didnt realise the people who sold them in free papers etc were actually the people who fitted them and would be the address that id go to asking about locks and stuff. i guess it was pretty dumb of me, but there you go!

Thanks!

Well I don't know if their showrooms will be in exactly the same place as their warehouses and work depots, but it would be a place to start.

ok, thanks a lot!

i think theres a very small locksmith in town as well, so i'll be heading there as soon as i can to aska few questions. i know some smithys can be reluctant to share any info or anything (understanderbly sp?) but hopefully i may be able to get at least a start about what places in the area are good to go to learn.
