Improvised Lockpics?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Would a paperclip/safety pin and a little screw driver sufice as a lockpick?

A common question on LP101. Depends on what you want to pick, that would only pick the worse locks effectivly, get real tools if you are serious.
Read the MIT guide to Lock Picking, im sure someone will post a link if you cant find it. So the answer is no really.

Yeah you can improvise picks out of such stuff. But these picks will require alot of skill to use effectively

That is exactly what i used to pick my first lock, but paper clips are probably the worst tool to use that can actualy pick a lock. they will keep bending over and over then finaly break off in your lock. i would just make some picks or buy em' you won't believe how much easyer it is with good tools.
