Hello all, I have to say, I've never seen a website more helpful or comprehensive. It will be hard to come up with new material to get my posts for the advanced forum if you don't leave something out for me to add in the Lock Picking 101 section...

Hello...

Postby ImADAmI » 17 Feb 2005 21:09

Hello,
I'm new here but i have been picking for about a year now. I got a southord pick set for Christmas a couple of years ago. The way locks work and the way people can pick locks has interested me ever since i stumbled on the howstuffworks.com article on lock picking. It is slightly unnerving to know that an intelligent person with a few homemade picks that this site taught them how to make can enter my home.... Good thing intelligence is in such short supply where i live. This site is very helpful. Thanks for making it...

Hey there... I'm new to the forums, and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Alex, 18 years old, male, from Canada. I've been casually picking locks for the past year and a half or so, but I've reached a point in my life where I want to become more proficient at some of my old hobbies. Picking seems like it would make a good mental and fine-motor exercise. Anyhow, I look forward to chatting with you all. Till later.

Newbie AND Idiot

Postby yevgeni » 20 Feb 2005 16:14

Hi, I'm yevgeni...

*HI, YEVGENI*

:

I'm a newbie, and I am an idiot. My wife says I am, and I guess she would know...

Just bought a Southord Jackknife-style pick set, as well as a slightly vague instruction book (came w/4 picks & tension wrench) from Bud K.

I'm hoping to learn lock-picking as an exercise to learn patience, and because I enjoy puzzles.

Had the picks a week and NO LUCK YET in opening a lock.

I'll keep on keeping on, though....
