New Securefast Kit

Postby chunk » 22 Feb 2005 6:31

Just ordered the new securefast kit from safeventures. Bennie says its easier to use than the old kit with the keys, this kit must be ridiculously easy to use then. Anyone got one yet? Ordered a few other picks from various sources came to just short of £1000 inc vat and delivery for 5... ones a safe lock pick (which was reasonably cheap). I only hope the safes full of bullion :D

To be honest, the new Securefast kit couldn't get you in that much quicker than the old anyway as the old is quick enough at a guaranteed 2 minute opening!

No doubt, as it shines, Mr Pink will be purchasing one soon and giving us a review of how many seconds quicker the opening is with the new over the old!

Of all the things to throw your money away at .. the old kit (which you can make yourself) is as fast as you can get 5 keys into a lock ... i know what you mean about new shiney toys though .. hope you keep buying them :-)

An outsider told me on Saturday that he observed how lockmiths seem to like ripping off other locksmiths .. interesting quote ...

Don't know if this is a daft post but.....

While messing about in the van last week i used a cut down securefast key and a 2.5mm shaped wire to pick a couple of securefast locks, unfortunately it only works on left hand locks, it seems to work very well, less than 3 mins, apart from the limitation.

Yes I have acquired one of these decoders and as with all there kits excellent quality.
Should be quicker over the old kit as you can work through the lever pack without having to remove the tool from the lock. Have you worked out how to decode the BS36212004 securefast with it

I've got it, and it's ace. Only used it once, though.

I seem to get a lot of work from people who don't want damage to the door. They are also suprised when I charge less than most people with a big drill and no clue.

i have both old and new kits as the housing trust i work for uses securefast on all there doors.(how lucky am i) i have found if the door has had a few kicks and disturbed the lever pack it is not a 2 minute opening especially on the right hand side of the door ,but using both the new and old kit together you can work out which lever is playing up and eliminate it .i have found it is normally a number 2 lever which gives a false reading .And as for opening the new bs2004 securefast all i will say is you do the oppersite to what says on the box ,but still just as quick.
