Try a 5 pin first, or if this is your first lock, start from 1 pin, pick it 3 times, then move up to 2 pins, etc. If this is your 3 and on lock, then you may have thet same problem as me. I find that when I do turn, and let go, I can hear the pins fall back down. Usually, from what I believe, its too much torsion. What I will then do is put my half-diamond in and feel the pins. Try it without any pins in your lock, you get the feeleing of the pick "falling" into the pin chamber. Then, with all the pins in, I go back and feel for it. If I cant seem to find it, I will use my half diamond to push the plug back slightly to its normal position, untill I hear one pin click. THen Ill go and put my pick in, and find that pin, and try and set it. If that doesnt work, I force it over the shear line, andn repeat the step, listening for 2 pins to fall, and so on. Usually then will the lock open. I also find this effictive on spool pins...
