It may be a help to you to realize that you don't necessarily pick the pins in any particular order (like front to back... or back to front).

The idea is to hold just enough tension on the lock that you can feel which pin has friction upon it. That is the pin you lift to the shear line.

So... if you are having problems lifting the last three pins (as they won't stay at their shear line)... I'd suspect that you may have to find another pin that you either failed to lift high enough, or perhaps lifted too high.

Try resequencing the order of pins that you lift and you may find that one of the pins you are having problems with will magically start to cooperate.

Cheers

Yes, 50 pages worth of help. Read the MIT Guide to Lockpicking (google for it). You will find it very informative. Beyond that, the only thing you need is practice, and lots of it.

Happy picking!

Reed the FAQ, the MIT guide, analyse your own picking and think before posting.

if you read through this site at all it is in it over and over and over again... READ THE MIT GUIDE. Also there is endless information about picking techniques.

here is a thought for you though. take out all the pins but the last three that way you can practice solly on those and not have to worry about messing up on the other ones. i know everyone says just enough pressure, but i use just a little too much and that works for me so try that. Just some thoughts

good luck though and happy picking
