Individual picks

Postby vector40 » 7 Mar 2005 22:20

It seems like SouthOrd is just about the only pickmaker selling individual, standalone picks... does anyone know a vendor where you can buy either LAB or Falle-Safe picks (not too much hope on the latter) outside of full sets?

I don't really need a whole 'nother arsenal, and can't afford it, either, but I would like a few nice and slim picks, in the shapes that I actually use.

Falle-safe counterfeits

Postby The Wanderer » 7 Mar 2005 23:42

I don't know if you've seen this company on the forum yet Vector40, but this place http://www.lockpicktools.com/lockpicks.htm produces a Falle-Safe copy thet doesn't look half bad for the money. I haven't tried them yet. I've been a bit short of funds since the ECM went on the truck. Maybe when I've caught up with that big repair I'll get some and critique them. I suppose it would be better if I had some Falle-Safe to compare them too but I'm not a locksmith so I guess it'd be hard to get some. I'd like some Rytans and some Petersens too. God I hate being honest....hehe.

Might be worth a try, I guess, at least for hooks...

Another alternative

Here's one more site that hasn't been mentioned: http://lockpickersmall.com/
They're a little more expensive (ok, a lot) that the other ones mentioned, but they do sell individual picks.

lockpickersmall.com sells INDIVIDUAL HPC 2000 picks. $8 each, but that's a price I'm willing to pay just to say I have some HPC 2000 picks. :D

Whoa.

Sorry for the double topic, WhiteHat; I didn't realize this one had posted. It went up right around the Great Forum Blitz of March.
