im new and am thinking about buying the beginner lockpick set for $35 on lockpickshop.com What sort of locks will I be able to pick and techniques will I be able to use and apply after praciticing with this? And are instructions included?

to put it simply, pretty much anything, given enough time and effort.
practice, practice, practice.
i would suggest you start with master laminates. start at #1 and work your way up. if you can't open something, try again.
