Key blanks to suit this Abus 83/45 plug?

I've got this lock floating around- it's an abus 83/45, and lovely on the inside, but I was just wondering what keyblank would suit this plug?



the plug itself is a 6 pin cylinder.

Hi there - I'm more specificially looking for the key blanks.
There are many abus blanks that are similar, and I was wondering if any blank buff here could say - oh yes, that's an XYZ!

btw you will not be able to buy a blank for that unless you are a locksmith.

pick it and buy a new cylinder with key's cut to code.

Hi there, I'm up in brisbane.
I've already picked it, that's no so much the issue - but I have seen sites selling blanks for very similar wards, and was curious to know if anyone was aware of the blank 'code' for them

found it down a drain of all places
what's the dirt on this lock? you seem to know the background on it?

it is likely a governenment lock, easy to pick.

can be opened with a hacksaw in under 30 seconds( 3.4 cm up from the top of the plug, towards the shackle) . 5 - 6 pins, uses standard lockwood pins, boron or molydenum shackle, rusts well picks well and is easily opened with other methods that i cannot discuss with you.

You have a 6- 20 month old lock with 5- 6 pins and it costs about $45 with the nice restricted P1 cylinder and pins.

RE: the 'cannot discuss' - is this part of the 'advanced forum' access thing, or something you're bound by?

I don't mean to sound rude, just curious, that's all. I was wanting to play with making my own keys from measuring pins etc, and thought it could be easy w/ this lock, because I could take the barrel out, but I guess I should get another one

This Abus padlock has an OZ plug in it made by Larsens pty ltd.

If I have my profiles correct it is an OZ1. Patents on this keyway have expired however dealer are still bound by agreements.

Best bet is go to a locksmith and get a 570 plug to replace this one. Assuming you can pick or drill this one out and pin up a new plug.

Alternatly take it to a locksmith & pay them to do it for you. Although probably cheaper to buy new one.
