Just bought my first set.

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

SouthOrd is a respectable brand. I would tend to agree with the 'less feedback' argument, but anyone with a decent amount of experience shouldn't have much trouble with them, and they are handy.

for a first set i would have advised against getting the jack knife, but its your choice at the end of the day. you;ve already bought it now, but rather than spend more money, you could make yourself a few alternatives to use with it, like different tension wrenches, you could make a few simple picks too.

hmmm, from what ive heard it works, but for a beginner i'd recommend the 14 piece set. or you can make your own.
