My newest discovery..hope ya like it

I am a magician and because i create my own effects and such I have became somewhat creative and been able to do some realyl cool things and come up with some great ideas...and now i am applying that to lcok picking and have stumbled upon 2 great things

#1 Jumbo bobby pins are great for making picks and massively cheap too
#2 Flashlight carabiners from Walgreens for 2.99 are great for making and carrying on ya keychain a set of mini picks ya make out of jumbo bobby pins

to make grind down jumbo bobby pin pick to fit in flashlight with cap on

next remove the lil spring inside the flashlight portion of the carabiner I used a small bobby pin bent like a hook and pulled it out

hey, not a bad idea that, except i've never seen one of those torches before in my life! they must only be sold in the US. nice set though, shame you cant find a way to keep it as a functioning flashlight, then it would be dual purpose!

very cool though, i'll be huntinh around my room for something similar i can put on a keychain now!

actually master i am already in the process of figuring that one out....I am thinking the next one i make i cut the picks alil shorter and then make a wooden insert with a contact plate and wire large enough for a watch battery or something maybe? i dunno just an idea...or maybe put a real mini MAG lite on there for a kubotan thanks for ya input...anyone else?

if i remember rightly from science a few years ago, if you take a piece of iron like a nail, or a magnet, then wrap a piece of wire around ti connected to a battery, then take a seperate piece of wire, wrap it round the other 1/2 of the magnet or nail and connect to to something like a motor, you can make it work, the beauty being if you but say 4 loops on the battery side and 8 on the motor side, you double the voltage, so you could use something needing 2 batteries, put this thing in with 1 battery and ues th rest of the space for your picks, or something like that. it is just a very simple transformer.

Maybe not a genius, but good ingenuity any way.
I like picks with small thin handles so I can fit them in the change compartment of my wallet.

Unfortunately you didn't pay enough attention in science class.

Transformers don't work with DC electricity from batteries, and makeshift transformers put together with nails and bits of wire are too inefficient to be useful even when you feed them with AC. It did sound good though.

What you can do is replace the torch bulb with a superbright white LED, and then run it off some miniature button cells. This leaves lots of space to store things in the battery compartment.

Hmm... I've been looking for something I could keep a small set of picks in and keep with me all the time, while serving some other purpose as well. I should find one of those flashlight things... Nicely done.

Climbing is one of my other hobbies so i have seen beaners like this, as well as other makshift beaners with other things attached to them. that would be perfect. There are also mose out there that are knives and you could make a sort of jackknife one that is attachable to the beaner like that. I think that this might work well.

It is used in women's hair, and you can buy them at places like walgreens, or shoppers drug mart.

in the UK we call them hair grips, i've never seen one as big as that though, ours are only 1 3/4 inches long. i suppose we dont get the "jumbo" size in the UK.

I've never seen a bobby pin fat enough to grind into an actual pick though. All the ones I've seen are about 2 mm wide, and that's a generous estimate.
