Bump keys and lock bumping finally have their own area. Discuss making bump keys, proper bumping techniques, and countermeasures here.

when you ask to have all the cuts to the deepest position most of the time they think it is a master key so they ask you your ID card and you pay an extra for this "master key"

I don't know if in your country they ask your ID for a key cut by code

by hand it is nearly impossible to make a bump key for dimple locks for ex

and filing a bump key out ... is difficult and long time consuming but it is possible if you have enough patience ... witth a copy cut key machine even you have a working key with just one cut at the deepest position it takes only 5 mn ! and may be less !

while this topic is legendary, I have never heard of anyone using 'bump keys' in a practical, moneymaking (legitamate locksmithing), way... in fact, i have fabricated and used said 'bump keys' on locks-in-hand and they work perfect!! However, when you take it to your business, on a REAL door, with the lock INSTALLED.. guess what happens? nada, baby... rant... sorry.
