When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Just to introduce myself, I have been a lurker of these forums for over a year now, and have been learning ever since, my picking is amateur, certainly not as pro as many of you.
Anyway I have started making some picks, the main body is St steel but I have access to some sheet bronze and wanted to clad them in this. Does anyone have any names of some very good looking rivets or eylets that would fix the sheet together, any help is much appreciated, pics will follow once finished.
Many thanks JC

Welcome, its very nice to see lurkers coming out and taking an active role here. I dont know much about rivets or eylets, but if it was me I would just put some krazy glue on it
sorry i cant help more and I look forward to seeing these picks

The more metal u put on your picks, the less feel you get. I would, if i reaaally wanted it on em, use some kind of glue. Not into rivets at all.
Keep us posted on your progress and post them pic(k)s !

Thanks for the responses
I know the fee will be less but a thin layer of 0.2 bronze on each side of the handle could look real nice all polished up.
Its more for aesthetices than for feel, but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
If it ain't broke dont try to fix it, if it is learn how it works before you do.

why don't you just make one with and one without and see which you like better? that way you could compare them.
