ASSA 701

Hello im new here and i have just got in to lockpicking (sorry if my writing is bad but im from sweden) and i have just bought a set of picks and a ASSA 701 lock, and now that i have tryed to pick that lock for several hours with not geting it to open so is there anyone that can give me some clues on how to pick it.

Look at the key to your lock, are there some interesting shapes on the lower side of the key, I am not familiar with the model number, but ASSA is famous here for a high security lock that has a sidebar mechanism with pins that enter the lower keyway and ride on a groove on the side of the key. They may also make less famous locks for the local swedish market so you might have a simple pin tumbler. if there are cuts along the lower edge, see if a locksmith will make you a copy of the key. take the copy and cut the key apart down its length from tip to bow, just above the side cuts. Take the piece that has the side cuts and drill a hole in the part of the handle of the key that is left on it. This will be the blade for the tension tool. Also, you should look at the dutch Toool site for videos on ASSA or look to the german SSdev club for more information about this specific lock

Better stick to english so the others can read . First off, i dont think you should start with a 701 if you totally new to lockpicking. Read the MIT guide to lockpicking, the FAQ, all threads you can find and pick _alot_.
