My homemade pick

Hello everbody

This post is getting less and less attention everyday i have to try keep up and keep it going

I have recently picked a lockwood 120/40 and now i can pick it in a matter of seconds, I have a few homemades not shown in these pictures because i dont keep them in my set.

I have picked most of my locks except the big Chrome lockwood 234/45 that says OQ on the keyway (very thin) and the big rusty looking one (Picks are to scared to even go in there hehehe )

I am getting a set of hpc's from romstar so i probably wont be making any picks for a while, But sometimes i might get out my grinder when i am bored.

So here is all of my stuff at the moment


All of my pins and locks i have taken apart and i have also made a tweeser shaped like a pin at the top so i can hold them easier but the picture doesnt look very good.

The Falle curve pick you made is made from a hacksaw right? How strong is it?

Yep, I made it out of a flexible highspeed steel hacksaw blade.

As you might have read in the Lp101 cemetery my homemade computer pick from skold has died. But I have made a newer on that looks exactly like its father except it has a chubbier body

i dont have a picture at the moment but i will later when i borrow a camera.

I am planning on making more computer picks because i find it more interesting then making normal pick since i have made heaps already.

No i didnt. I didnt even press hard, i wonder why all your picks are breaking that you have sent me including the saw tooth rake the double sided pick on of the tips broke of the one that is a diamond looking hook and now the computer pick. I wonder why all yours are breaking

how long did ya let them rust for?

i dont let them rust i sand them with a coarse emery paper or with my rotary then use a fine emery

Here are some homemade computer picks i made and the one with the sanded handle is in the memory of the pick skold made me.



Excuse the crude pictures they arent really that rough they are really smooth in real life its just how to scanner has scanned them so excuse the picture. I will try take a photo with my friends camera and then the picture will be better. Any comments?
