Master lock company has had two types of 'bike cuffs' out for a few years, the key is tubular, but I have never seen this key, and I have seen the keyway, which is different from other tubular keyways because there is a wide area where the outer notch slot is on the usual tubular key. I have heard they are even ten pin, but I don't know this lock at all. I could imagine a type of tubular lock where the pins are operated by cam action like they are in a straight keyway pin tumbler, so that just pushing the key in would not set the pins, but turning would, as if you had taken a straight pin tumbler key and curled it into a circle. That might explain that wide outer notch area. If its simply another ace version, it would be susceptible to the bic trick I suppose. does anyone have anything more on this lock. I suppose I could try to get a closer look in a bike store, I don't like to examine locks on strangers bikes, I guess I'm selfconsious.
