same prob mate i bought 3 on ebay and i can't crack it ...i can do the union b.s. the legge the era with a pinch ... if you look in the side theres a hole to see but when you lift the levers theres no feel or any real biting of the levers... the lever pack reminds me of a legge b.s. i'll have another try soon just to see if this cheap VERY CHEAP b.s. sash lock can be beaten :lol:

try the legge pin and cam if someone has a legge pick and a century lock.

Aldridge did these at one time as their own brand lock. Back then they were dark red/maroon with a wrap around hardplate. Sometimes they do fight back a bit.

cheap and cheerful but damb hard to open. give me a pin and cam someone!!! :?

Ah yes i remember the Aldridge one now not seen the century though. you say its the same lever/slider pack in the both?

They are identical inside Andy.
There have been two slightly different sets of levers used in these locks over time. All the black locks with welded hadplate will be the newer style though.
