Need help on picking.

I have read a lot of pages on this forum but I still am not able to pick a "Best" brand lock I have. I am using a tension wrench and a snake pick.... anyone have any tips on picking for me?

Please help.

Why are you trying to pick this lock? Being your first post and having not filled in your profile we have no idea who you are. You could be trying to break into someones house!

I just started picking and this is the lock that I have. I found it in my garage we used to have it on our body shop door. I didn't know I had to fill out a profile to get help. Sorry I just want help.

So please help.

Why did I just know that was going to come up sooner or later?

My recomendation is the same. Find or make a medium diamond of a medium hook and learn to pick pin by pin. You may get lucky with the rake, but somehow I doubt it will be easy.

Ok, I apologise, but if I'd said, "Oh, you can bypass it really easily by doing XXXX, or it can be picked easily by doing XXXX." and he went on to break into someone's house and clear them out, I wouldn't feel to good and it wouldn't make the site look good either.

I'm sorry if I sounded harsh, I didn't mean to, its been a long day, I apologise.

I know you said you've read a lot of site pages, have you read the MIT guide at all? It's a very good read even if it is a bit long. It should help you a lot in learning to pick.

Rom, last I heard bird locks were fairly easy to pick

Bird locks aren't easy to pick. They are a joke. Some of them open if you look sideways at them. Others when you glare at them and threaten them with a drill.

Of all the locks I have dealt with, Bird have to be some of the worst.

You asked about "Bird".

Obviously you misread.

The Best locks are much more difficult, and raking isn't a great technique for those.
