Hello

I had this posted previously but in the wrong section so I removed it.

I am fairly new to the Lockpicking "scene", if you will, and was looking for some advice on picks. I am in the market to buy some picks, and was wondering which brand/size of set you would recommend. Another option I wasn't thinking about until just watching Pyro's video is making my own. I have a fairly broad knowledge of metalworking/working with the tools needed (at least for a 16 year old), so it doesnt seem that hard.

Any and all feddback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Tuco

Hey

Well to avoid flaming i would recommend that you read the FAQ section and read the sticky labeled "So where do I buy lockpicks and what do I need to buy?" So then you wont annoy anyone by repeating already answered questions. But if you cant but i would recommend making a set, i find something the homemades work better the the commercially made picks.

Happy picking! :D

That said, Southern Ord. makes a fair pick for the price. If you have the means, look into HPC picks.
Homemade picks are good, I have several different profiles Ive made over the years, but a good quality commercially made pick is best.

I strongly reccoment peterson picks. They're well designed and manufactured, and there's a sort of sexy quality to them as well. the pricing is very fair and the best part is you don't have to pay for an expensive leather case if you don't want to.

I stick by hpc, even though i have never given them ago yet :P , but i have some coming so yeah. But for some reason i hate the southord non-reeforced handles, they feel to flimsy and small.IMO
