As a new locksmith, I must say I like the dyno kwik pick! Yes it's just a fancy rake, but it has a good feel and the tension wrench is also very responsive. Also, I have made a few other picks for it; half moon, half diamond and plan to make more. I got the hang of lock picking with the Kwik pick, not using the rake side though. Personal comfort matters and the thickness of the rake that is in the kwik pick is a couple thousands thicker than most of my other picks, which makes picking a little easier; for me anyway. My 7y old sun picked a #1 master lock with it rather quickly, yet not consistantly. In my lock picking infancy this same lock took me quite awhile to pick. I recommend this pick to any novice.
I know this thread is late but, hopefully helpful.
