looking for a tubular pick

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

looking for a tubular pick

Postby MacÔda » 3 May 2005 15:35

Ok, I'm looking to buy a tubular pick, but I really don't want to spend $90 on one. I was wondering if anyone knew where there was a cheaper one. Also, which is more common on a tubular lock, 7-pin or 8-pin.[/quote]

Like i always say, spend your money on homemade tools instead. Tubular picks are not that hard to make.

theres a tool that looks like a spanner, it just turns the plug and u use an other pointed tool to depress the pins (like using a tention wrench and a pick in a standard lock). no need to spend big bucks on some special tool. or just use THE OH MIGHTY BIC PEN..............sorry. yelling :D
search for the link.

7-pins are more common. You can buy a high-quality one for $66 including shipping, just do a search and you'll find the info.

if you live in the uk the best place by far to buy picks from is

www.topsecretmagic.co.uk

he delivers really quickly ( 2 days) and has a larges selection.
he has two sizes of tubular picks for only £100 which is amazing considering that others charge that for 1.

i really dont understand why the site isnt very popular among lockpickers
lockpicks sure are hip!
