Need help getting started..

hey ive been searching here for a litle bit..still got some questions..i just bought some hacksaw blades and junior hacksaw blades..i was wondering so i do not gotta purchase a dremel tool or grinder can i use a metal filer(will that work fine) and use allen renches as tension tool..(will be filed also) let me know what you think..thanks a bunch.

Though some people do it, you may find that using hand files is a tedious task. If you're going to resort to it, I'd say start with the juniors so you have less to cut away. Some very good picks are made by hand by raimundo, so it can and is being done. I prefer to have tools.

I can't get the file to cut the allen wrench.

Considering they are made from roughly the same material I certainly wouldn't be surprised.

well ive been doing it all day..it takes a while to file it down..and i barley got anywhere so i jsut found out great news..my best friends dad is a carpenter and hes got all i need..hes got a vice, dremel tool, and bench grinder! cant wait to get started..

yes i know..and btw i was at lowe's today..and i forget the brand but they have a 20 day garentee..which means u can use it and then bring it back..lol
