Hmmm a certified locksmith doesnt actually carry as much weight in this country as it does in other parts of the world,
Im sure if you are acting responcably and not intentionally hiding them or obviously out to do any harm then you will be fine,
There are quite a few officers from the uk that frequent this site an none of them have mentioned it being a problem,
Carry them in a case in your pocket, dont hide them in coat lining or anything, dont be out very late at night with them on your person, dont flash them around in the pub or anything you could also print off your profile page for this site which shows you to be a member of a lockpicking community and that you have 'x' number of posts on this forum,
If you are acting sencible the police shouldnt have any reason to search you in the first place and also if you are caught with them i am sure 99% of officers will just be interested and the 1% would more than likely slap you on the wrist and let you be on your way,
If you are that worried go to your local police station and just tell them what you are up to, ask for their leaflets on security and tell them you are an aspireing locksmith, ask them what they enforce in your area, if you go about it in the right way you shouldnt have any problems,
I havent ever heard of this happening before but i could be wrong,
). You cannot have possesion of lockpicks outside your own house UNLESS your a certified locksmith, now my question is: how do i become one? is there a CERTAIN course i can take that i can show a licence to the police? please, any help would help
