Here is what I am starting with(ordered piece by piece, so no case yet):

So I took out all but one pin and worked up from there.

Practicing at each level for about 30 minutes, I can get the full 5 pins pretty quickly...

However I am having one trouble with that the first pin towards the keyhole is extremely high and hard to set, especially with tension wrench...

But anyway, thought I should post, now that my picks and stuff came in I am going to be practicing non-stop :)

You can use your tension wrench at the top of the keyway or the bottom

Nice set to start with. Good luck with the Kwickset and use the forums if you run in to any trouble!

Sometimes on many locks the front pin is cought up. If the cylinder has rotated slightly, and you have that feeling "OK I got it this time" and you just cant get that pin down? Is that the situation?

If so then while applying pressure on the front pin, put less pressure on the tension wrech' try to feel that front pin sometime even pushing the cylinder back. With some luck skill or both while backing off and putting pressure on that stuck pin it will fall into place and the lock will open.
The ball endeed pick I find is quite good for this kind of situation, use the curvature of the ball, The Srake should also be good/

Pratice practice practice

Has anyone noticed that this post is over 2 months old, and Dent hasn't posted anything in over a month?

I like how it sais pick resistant 5 pin lock...good thing I know a bit about locks now...I was at a chinese dollar store, they were selling these NABA locks or something, extremely crapy quality. the Keys are cut bad...you can see the marks that the machine did, and even so, it didn't take everything off...
