Ok, i know there is a thread on this but i cant find it for the life of me. I have picked noumerous padlocks, several door handles, a few dead bolts, and even a car door. (not one in use and old junked out car outside the house) and i dont know where to go from here.

I would appreciate the help even if you give me some good search cues. i have already searched for a while, so the answer would be even more appreciated

Some harder locks would be those with anti-pick features, if you haven't tried already. BEST SFIC is an interesting one. Locks other than pin tumblers, such as level tumbler locks, also preent a unique challenge. Shalge primus, Medeco, and Abus all have unique locking systems and are genuine bastards to open. finally, the study of manipulation can provide hours of stimulation/frustration.

Manipulation is the name for "picking" a combination lock, especially on safe. Needless to say practice locks are a tad pricey. You have to have access to the advanced forums to discuss is with any specifity, we don't talk about it in open forums. Put in an app, the worst they can say is no, or in your case, "later."

Various Master padlocks, e.g. the 140, American padlocks, Schlage deadbolts, anything cheap and nasty from a dollar store and made in China, ...

I just bought a Brinks house key rekeyable padlock, and from a few attempts at picking, I'm pretty sure it has spool or mushroom drivers in it. :(

Brinks deadbolts aren't bad for starting on spool pins.

It has spool pins. That was the first padlock I ever got. I like how it takes decent pressure to turn the plug after it's picked. It taught me to pay attention to what I was doing. When I first got it I would keep trying to pick it even after I had succeeded, because I was used to deadbolts that fully turned once picked.

Awesome. I would like to try the brinks. Sounds interesting. Also do you know if the Master lock No.15 or No.6 has any security pins?

Does your "patience" quip have anything to do with my "one learns patience in prison" remark a few days ago? True, isn't it? (Not that I've ever been, I used to be.. as bad as a good guy gets, let's say. Love those SERE courses!)
