Yup. Those have been discussed here a few times. For the record, I wouldn't take too many pointers on picking technique from this particular site.

Wow...if I tried that on a lock the dumb lock would blow up on me...hehehe...whatever works I guess, but man...he'd sure make the forensics guys happy.

yea that guy was way harder on the locks then nessecery, but besides that he is pretty good, he has a prosedure to his picking, you can see it, he hits the back pins, the the front pins, then the middle. i do almost the same, but am a lot more gracefull then that

Sometimes it can be kinda hard to rake on a small padlock due to the sharp edhes on the pick, they get like stuck, it happens to me.

that guy that picked the car was awesome.
too bad he didnt pick the door like shown on the picture instead of the trunk. nevertheless, it was amazing. thanks for the post!

That opening was less along the lines of picking and more along the lines of sodomizing that lock.

Did you notice that the lock on the boot of that car was turned 20 degrees before he started "picking" it.

The way he picked the auto lock is by far way too brutal, the wafers can become damaged so that the lock is unusable via the key.

My tip : Dont' try that on your car

Yeah, and he was still trying to jiggle it open while the lock was turning. It doesnt convince me. And those poor locks and picks. Bloody we should put him up for assault against locks

Yea, Skolds right, Auto locks are so easy to break.

Normally the wafers are made of a brass like metal. Really soft, Rake it with a sawtooth rake, it will ack as a hacksaw...So if you plan on making auto picks, dont unless you have rounded everything EXTREMELY well.

Try not to "Rake" either...Jiggle is the key...

Raking can change the way your key works..one of the wafers may be worn to far down so that it no longer corresponds with the keys cut depth.
