I'm an OLD school programmer (we're talking BASICA and even older versions here,) but that looks a lot like a batch file intended to throw up a ridiculously massive post. BAT files went out with windows 98, did they not? My question is, did this guy just try to crash the board with a seven year old DOS file? Wow...

quite possible sfgoon, but even if we did mysteriously get transported back to the days of windows 98, surely the php bb code wouldnt allow a script like that to execute??

maybe they only have 98 in kosovo or wherever this guy is from?...

leart2k, people are getting annoyed because you're asking stupid questions, not doing things for yourself and not using proper english, you're talking in very badly written short hand english, try using a language translator so your posts are at least made up of actual words that we can understand!

there....my attempt to be nice and resolve this...

No, they quite surely did not become obsolete. In XP they got renamed to .CMD files (though .BAT still works fine) and the command language has been enhanced quite a lot. Any time you're bored, get a command window in XP and type help. You're in for a surprise.
