Homemade electric pick gun

Postby serrurier » 7 Jun 2005 18:38

Hi!

I am making my own electric pick gun but I am at the stage of figuring out how much is the vibration motion suppose to be. Is the vibrating rod suppose to move up and down with a specific distance or just quick very short vibration best?

tks

To be honest there are both styles available although the small movement hard vibrating ones can do a ridiculus amount of damage to the lock until you get used to it,

The pick tip moves around 5-10mm up and down but due to the mechanics of them the movement drops down to a vibration when the pick is put against somthing (the pins)

Have a quick search for the latest electric pickgun threads and you will come across an excellent link to a site which gives you the history of them and also shows you exploded views of electric pickguns so you can see how they are made and work out how much movement they have, its a supub link but i cant remember it right now but is probably the other most recent post on the subject.
