I'll try and remember to make a flash animation for it. I'd start now but my current computer doesn't have it installed. If I keep it simple enough I can export as a .gif and that'll make it easy to link to. Any volunteers for hosting if I do?

I think I figured it out, I am more than willing to host a *(see below for details) free basic lock picking course. I will provide a free set of Southord picks (11 piece slimline), a free Masterlock No.5 (blue rubber "master" plastic thingy on the bottom-no extra charge), and all the basic lockpicking instruction to open the above said lock.

Ahh sarcasm wonderful thing but out of context here,

This site IS one big lockpicking course and a picture showing various scenes to help newbies out can not be deemed as anything more than a helpful bit of guideance,

Links or moving animations are just a waste of time, moving animations are the scourge of the earth for us mere dial up members, the site will just take 5 times longer to load if everyother person has a post with the same cartoon on, links are even bigger waste of time as no one clicks them,

You need one picture the size of one of micks breast pictures, in this picture you would have a few differant scenes so if the picture was posted to a newbie all his questions of what am i doing with a pick or how do i use a tension wrench etc can be answered with a quick scan,

If you dont want to help newbies with somthing like this then all we are destined for till the end of time is new tiopics asking why their hacksaw blade wont fit in a yale lock or i have a 'x' lock can i open it, if you dont want to help you dont have to post any picture produced.

Hey,

I was thinking about setting up some community-based replacement for the MIT-lockpicking guide. It may be a wiki or just a html file. Most important to me is, its licensed so everyone is allowed to contribute to it and distribute it. This means no "stolen"- pictures or text.
I don't know whether anyone is interested in contributing, and i'm open to any suggestions. I can setup and host webspace, a wiki, a versioning-system and the like, if needed. Maybe I'll start a thread in the general chatter section later on.

A guide to superceed the mit guide is already nearly finish from what i understand so it may be worth holding back until this comes out to see if your idea is still a valid one.
