Mast Lock no.130

Hey guys,

as some of u may know im very new to the forum, tho i have been reading for a while. Today my lock set came in ! im very pleased with it and immediatly starting picking a cheap deadbolt from my local hardwear store, its 4 pin and i have pretty much mastered it already, so i tired to move on to an old masterlock i had around the house to no avail its a 4 pin as well but i cant seem to get even just one pin to set on the shear line. im sure some people will suggest different levels of torque, wich i have. I also tried raking it with no luck. if any one can suggest anything else please let me know! o by the way, im using a tension wrench (obviously) and the short hook ( i think its reffered to as) pick. Thanks in advance!

You may be coming up against a security pin or two but i think its just a case of practice practice practice

always try to pick it in the other direction as well

This lock has spools (up to 3) and picks clock-wise only, if memory serves correctly.

i got that sneaky lil sob after messing with it for a good solid 30 min or so! thanks for all the words of advice guys, suprisingly the lock needed a decent amount of torque.

Well done, you will find that you get better and better with practice and that 30 mins will come down when faced with new locks.
