Falle Safe picks from Safe Ventures

Postby cracksman » 22 Jun 2005 18:20

Just received these picks today

(This is a picture I took off Safe Ventures site but mine are identical except the bag is black)
I was looking to get a set but found that MBA would not sell them as I am a hobbyist and not a locksmith. I figured I'd drop Safe Ventures (http://www.safeventures.com/) an e-mail to see what there policy was. The person I contacted was Sue Newton and she promptly returned my e-mail. She gave me a quote including shipping (140 pounds) and I then called her with my credit-card number (she also provided their bank info, but phone was easier). That was in the evening on the 16th of June. She had promised to put it in the post next morning. Sure enough, Royal Mail "airsure" priority mail dated the 16th arrived today the 22nd  I generally don't get packages here in the U.S. that quick :o I was so impressed with the service that I thought I would have to give them a plug. Their site does not have a "shopping cart" type setup, but there is a full price list and the e-mail replies were so prompt that I didn't miss it.

p.s. the picks are great! The wrenches however are phenomenal :D

Sorry Pip
This set I'm gonna will to my grandchildren if I ever have any. I don't know if you guys realize how bad the U.S. dollar is here but 140 pounds= $255.00

Seriously though, congrats cracksman. That's a nice set, and I am envious of your grandchildren. ;)

Nice looking set.

Now, the G-shaped tension tools to the left of the picture: it looks like there is a variety of fixed sizes for different size keyways, and then an adjustable version too?

I'd be super pissed if I bought FS picks and they had rough edges -.- They should dance and make breakfast for that cost.
