You won't find any information here on the opening of vehicles, this is kept in the advanced forum. Please read the rules for this forum.

To answer your questions though, the 'laser keys' if your talking about the set of 30 try out keys in sets of 10 are'nt very good, I thought souber stopped making them? Correct me if I'm wrong, although I thought I saw them at the Gmex. The 2 in 1 picks from Souber are ok, as long as you don't get the universal 6&7g (left and right) as they are weaker than the other 2 in 1's.

The best way i found to get a boot off you car is to pay the ticket!!!
they have your licence plates and you will just end up making it worse for yourself, take it from someone who found out the hard way not to mess with the cops... bad times (Haha even if it is the meter maids)

As far as car opening tools i would reccomend the auto jiggulars, they are the only tools that i found where i havent had to prove that i am a locksmith. But they will only work on cars 1993 and lower, in 1993 or 1994 (im not 100 percent possitivly) they incorperated the sidebar that took care of that little trick

pmsl , rath, i think our transatlantic language differences have led to some confusion here  . He means the "trunk" of the car but over here in the uk we refer to it as the "boot". What you call a "boot" from "denver boot" i believe, we refer to as a wheel clamp. Btw im not laughing at you just how we get in a muddle talking cross continents.

Like any lock, a car can be picked with your regular tools most of the time. Some car locks, especially new ones may incorporate different features to difficult your picking. This is a matter of knowledge, and practice.
As most car trunks can be opened from the inside of the vehicle. I suggest going in through the door. HPC, and some other locksmithing companies produce a number of handy door opening tools.
