Help with fortress padlock

I am trying to pick a masterlock fortress 4pin model 1084 (i think thats what it is). I am able to pick 3 of the 4 pins, and then i lock up and no more of the pins will move. what am i doing wrong? I am simply raking over the pins with a snake pick. Usually set 3 of them in 20-30 seconds.

my situation is very similar to the GARRISON PADLOCK post, except 3 pins are pickable and 1 isnt.

sounds like you have some security pins, have a good search on the forum... in the meantime put just enough force on your wrench to keep it from falling out (after you think you picked the 3 pins) then have a push on all the pins, if anyone pushes the wrench back against you, then you definetly have a spool/shroom or two.

After you set most of the pins with the rake, put it down, and grab a hook pick. ( Keep your tension wrench in place, with tension on it though! )

Use the hook to push further on the pins. As cracksman said, if you feel any of the pins try to rotate your tension wrench back, that pin is a security pin. ( spool or mushroom. )

yes thats exactly what it does. it is the 3rd pin

any idea how to pick it?

ok i looked at the blue site animation and did what they did, but when i pushed on that pin, and loosened the tork(not enough to reset the pins), the pins reset, it was really weird

Depending on how extreme the shape of the pin is, it could've caused the plug to rotate so much that it caused the other pins to unset. If that's what really happened, that pin is now truely set above the shear line, and you can re-pick the other pins.
