Hey folks,
Becoming more and more interested in lever locks, especially since I saw Macaba's handy diagram. I was wondering: anyone in the USA know someplace I could get a low level one, without ordering the steamer trunk it's mounted on? By "low level" I mean the lever lock equivalent of a Kwikset or lower.
I'm not even really sure what to search on. Anyone know what brand I'd want, maybe?
Thanks a bunch,
Spider

This is not really what you asked for but it might be helpful...
www.locksonline.co.uk is willing to ship outside the EU and carries several simple lever locks like the Yale 2 lever interior lock and the Union 3 lever deadbolt.
Good luck in your search

Glad i could help. Thank you very much for that website. Have a look at mortice locks, then sash locks. If you want a basic lock then look at the 2/3 lever ones. The hardest are the British Standards ones (7 lever with high security measures) There are even harder ones, and their British Standards number will start with BS6***, i have yet to see a anti-curtain pick that'll pick these. Whereas the Chubb 7 lever ones on there are BS3*** and they will be a challenge. Thanks again for that link.

Thanks for the link. I'm going to wait and see if anyone in the US responds, I'm in no hurry, but if nobody over here knows where I could get one of these things, I'll probably use that page.
Then again, I didn't even think to check EBay...

Had a look at ebay.com, looks like plenty to choose from, just search for 'lever lock'

I would suggest as a guess cabinet makers and the hardware store should be a good start to get some lever locks. I found some in the hardware here in AU.

Can't hurt to check, since I'm at a hardware store anyway. Didn't even occur to me that they might sell them there, since I've pretty much never seen one used -- but it's not really that far out of the way. I usually make it a point of pride not to buy any locks for MSRP, but in this case, I don't think I'll wait for a used one.
