kryptonite locks with the lock cylinder coming out of the steel tube at the side are small bore ace locks, except when they are even smaller bore, the difference is about .015" in diameter, The standard bore ace locks are found on bicycle U locks, (also called D locks) but they are always mounted so the cylinder fits inside the tube and the lock face comes out the end of the tube, not the side where the small bores come out.
If you have a south ord pick, and there is some friction in the tube, that can be worked down with fine sand paper. leave the feelers in the pick, this helps preserve the sharp edges of the feelers channels, and also smooths the exposed edges of the feelers themselfs. protect the tips by haveing them zeroed into the pick, but examine them for any need to be dressed a bit with a file later. Hand sand, using a machine will expose the project to a too agressive bite possibility.
