I believe one of the members of LP101, cormu, is from Finland and he has ordered from Southord before. Southord (www.southord.com) is a good company and makes cheap but functional picks.

As for picks, I would recommend you skip the big pick sets, they are expensive and just contain many duplicates and simiar picks. You really only need a hook (and/or diamond), a snake rake is very useful and a couple of tension wrenches (you need different thicknesses and widths to fit in varios locks). That being said, Southord currently doesn't sell individual Euro style picks picks you probably need (Euro or Slimline picks are just thinner to fit the smaller keyways popular in Europe). CitySpider found out that Southord will soon be selling individual Euro Picks, but in the mean-time I would recommend their 5 piece Euro kit (C500) at $20 U.S. or their nine piece Euro (C801) at $30 U.S.

Hope that helps.

(stupid that i can't edit my previous post...)

i forgot to mension that im "under age" and i cant really use credit card for ordering(unless i "borrow" my parents credit card)...

is there any place where it is possible to pay with C.O.D system(cash on delivery)?

in southord, there is possibility to pay with "money order", what does it mean?

It's enough to start. You'll want more later. SouthOrd's tension wrenches are essentially all the same wrench anyway. I don't have that set in front of me, but I believe it comes with just a standard L-wrench -- if you feel like it, get yourself a twist wrench too.

1) If you're under age, here's a suggestion -- explain your interests, perhaps show them this thread/this web site, and ask your parents to order it for you?

2) COD: Not to my knowledge. Especially not to Finland.

3) If you don't know what it means, being able to pay with a money order won't help you -- it's like a check, but you get it through the post office (over here in the US), not a bank. You might want to find out if there's any way for you to get an International Money Order, then e-mail Southord and ask if they accept those. However, that'll probably end up being about double the price, unless they have a way to cash international money orders w/o trouble.

okey...if i order from US to finland, i have to pay so mutch for shipping...i feel it is not really good idea to get them from US.
(im now thinking different possibilities ;))
is there any shops in europe? i found one: http://multipick.com/ but it doesnt sell so "little" sets though it is southord's distributor..

okey...one thig that annoyes me is that you have to pay almost(or over) same price for shipping, so it comes _really_ expensive...

have to consider about making my own pics...

i'm still looking for some shop in europe where shipping costs might be a bit cheaper..

Hope you've got an angle grinder if you intend making your own.

I think it'll be easier convincing your parents to buy the cheaper lockpicks than an angle grinder! :)

If you buy $10 worth of picks and pay $20 worth of shipping, it's only 30 bucks. Sure, you're overpaying for those picks, but it's not REALLY expensive -- the next lockpick set I buy will be four or five times that much, and that's BEFORE shipping. And second, $30 is a lot cheaper than buying a half-decent grinder, and it's easier than learning how to make picks.

I picked up a cheap set at a local dollar store last night for $1. It has 5 peices. One of them is straight, One has a C curve to it, one is kinda like a C curve but it has a sharper cruve, another is a L curve, and the other is kinda like a L curve but at a bit more of a angle.

Don't know how good they are as I have only been able to pick a simple no name brand locker lock so far.
