There are images of users' picks all over this site. Do a search for 'templates' etc. 
Normally, a question like this will result in a 'warming' feeling directed towards you, as the flames get hotter...
The Search button is your new best friend.  If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!

FYI, my pick templates need to be updated. I've slimmed them all down (to fit more keyways and for easier manipulation) and some have been modified (ie. the mailbox pick and auto jiggler)
Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

Get a Dremmel. I finally made the splurge and am very glad that I did. Also, try making "experemental" shapes out of a hotel key or simmiliar plastic, they will save you the frustration of putting a lot of time into a shape that you don't gel with.

I make alot of nifty lock picks out of very flat aluminium.... if you want it even flater just bang with a hammer

Depending on what type of aluminium you used, it's probably too soft. There are much better things to use when making picks. However, you might want to post some pics of these aluminium picks...?

yeah aluminum picks would be nice if you have sturdy enough metal. you could by a sheet of aluminum roof and it would last a lifetime

I have made aluminium picks that are mega thin... then i coat them in epoxy to tuffen them..... works great
