first picking

alright, so im at work and i was just on the internet looking at random stuff and i came across the MIT guide for lockpicking.

i have a desk that locks, so i was like 'what the hell, ill give it a try'. so i read up a bit, figured that my desk has the wafer type lock, 6 wafers. i fashioned a little torque wrench and a pick out of paper clips (ill post pictures once i get a chance), and i gave it a try.

i basically just wnet one pin (or wafer in this case) at a time, and applied more pressure til each one was set above the shear line. and then once i got the last one - bam. unlocked.

i was happy. i think when i get home im gonna build a good pick and torque wrench at my house, and pick one of the old locks we took off my side door a whlie ago.

anyawys, i have to get pics up of the paper clips i used, they were ridiculous haha the torque wrench was just a paper clip that was kinda folded so that there was almost like a loop at the end, and then the pick was just a straightened out paper clip.

haha yea i am hooked...since work is boring i just went back and picked it like 5 more times in the last hour or so. i just cant wait to get home and build a better pick and wrench, instead of using the paper clips. theyre annoying.

I was obsessed with hair (bobby) pins to start with. Found they sucked real quick Although with practice, they're mediocre rakes.
