I have a Dudley lock I bought about a year ago, but didn't use for the past few months and am now left only knowing the last number in the combination -- 9. I've read all the posts in this forum, and while i've learned how to look for the sticking points, I don't know how to go about figuring out the first two numbers in the combo. If there's someone who's willing to help me out, i'd really appreciate it, please & thank you!

Black dial & numbers, letter A on the back. The sticking points are the same, both CW and CCW (I got them as accurate as I could) --

1.5 - 5.5
7 - 10
13 - 16
18.5 - 21.5
24.5 - 28
31 - 34
36.5 - 40
43 - 46
49 - 52
55 - 58

Just having a quick glance at it, try

26-38-9
38-26-9

Tell me if those work, or if when you try it, the shackle seems a little looser.

Niiiice!!! I'm impressed! 38-26-9 worked! I'm so happy that you figured out that combo, I kinda thought it was a lost cause.

That's awesome, thanks for the help!!

Okay, here's an interesting one. 3 year old dudley lock with a purple dial and an I stamped on the back.

Sticking points are:

59-2
4.5-8
10.5-14
16.5-20.5
22-25.5
27-32
34-39
40.5-44
46.5-50
52.5-57.5

I have no idea what the combo is either.

MasterKey905, I'm sorry to say that Dudleys cannot be shimmed. They don't use conventional lock dogs, rather a sleve that the whole shackle goes into, a large piece of metal locks into place rather thne locking dogs or balls. This is the same for padlocks witih locking balls instead of plates. You can't shim a Dudley or a lock with locking balls, which is a large portion of padlocks out there.

I cracked my first dudley two days ago at Quadra in B.C. I only tried two stickey points and then the third and it opened. 8) Very fun locks to work with.
